What are the dangers of improper disposal?
Care must be taken to dispose of hazardous products in the proper way to reduce the environmental impact and safety hazards caused by disposal. Toxic products that are disposed of down the drain can cause water pollution and even damage plumbing and septic sewer systems. Madison County wants to make those aware of the dangers hazardous waste has on the environment, and more importantly, the County, and we appreciate those taking the right steps to dispose of their hazardous waste properly.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
Each year, in the fall, Madison County hosts a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event.  The event, which is located at  Madison County Road Department South at 208 Clarksville Lane, enables residents to bring hazardous materials so that we can properly dispose of them.  More information on this event will be provided around scheduled time.
