To be a County Attorney in Kentucky one must be twenty four years of age, be a Kentucky resident for two years, be a resident in the County of which they will serve for one year prior to election and must be a licensed and practicing attorney for two years prior to the election. County Attorneys are elected every four years in their county of residence.
